An e-bike’s battery lifetime depends on usage pattern, temperature and cell quality. According to the latest research it also matters how the battery is charged.
If i.e. a battery always is charged up to 100% and used when it is below 20% state of charge, the lifetime of the battery may be shortened according to the University of Maryland, USA. Most manufacturers of electric cars recommend charging minimum 20% and up to 80% state of charge for saving battery lifetime.
