In 1995 two engineers set the target of creating faster bikes for time trialing and hence, they founded the Cervélo company. Very soon their bikes set the bar for aerodynamics according to the results.
In 2007 Chrissie Wellington won the most important Ironman of them all, Hawaii. In 2008 Carlos Sastre won the Tour de France and Kristin Armstrong the Olympic time trial – both on Cervélo bikes.
Cervélo was among the first brands to launch aerodynamic road bikes. The product line is segmented into triathlon, time trial, aerodynamic, super and comfort road bikes.
