During the past years two bridges have been constructed and inaugurated in Copenhagen. In 2006 the Quay Bridge went into operation and in 2014 the Bike Snake Bridge was completed for usage.
The Quay Bridge has already financed itself through saving the cyclists time and city of Copenhagen a far lower CO2 emission. The Bike Snake Bridge saves the cyclists 380 hours per day and decreases CO2 emissions by 87 tons a year.
The architect company Dissing+Weitling has designed both bridges.
